General terms and conditions

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY  

Thank you for using Cyfateb, a service provided by Ateb Cyntaf Cyf (Ateb). 

The following General Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms and Conditions”) set out the contractual relationship between Ateb Cyntaf Cyf, M-SParc, Menai Science Park, Gaerwen, Ynys Môn, LL60 6AG (hereafter “Ateb”, “us”, “our”, “we”) and its users (“you”) when you create a free-of-charge Cyfateb profile. 

Contract 

By creating a Cyfateb profile you are agreeing to enter into a legally binding contract with us. If you do not agree to this Contract, do not create a profile. If you wish to terminate this Contract at any time you can do so by closing your account and no longer accessing or using the Services 

Eligibility 

To create a profile, you must: 

• be over the age of 18, 

• provide accurate information about yourself (such as your name), 

By entering into this Contract, you confirm that you are over the age of 18 and the information you have provided is accurate. 

Creating a profile with inaccurate or false information is a breach of this Contract 

Your profile – our service 

By creating a Cyfateb profile, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 

You also understand that we will use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.  

If you do not agree to be bound by all these terms, you will not be able to register for, or use, the Service. 

Once you have created a Cyfateb profile, we will provide you with access to an online portal which you will be able to update, you are responsible for the accuracy of the data provided by you. The Cyfateb profile can only be accessed via the Internet.  

The data contained will be used by us to match your profile with job opportunities advertised on our platform (“matches”). These matches are presented to potential employers (“profile suggestions”).  When your profile matches a job opportunity, you will receive a notification from us by email to alert you, this will include details of the role and information on how to apply. 

Your profile is not publicly visible to other Cyfateb profile holders or to Cyfateb service users. Instead, Cyfateb service users will only have access to extracts of your profile information for the purpose of matching.  

We will not be able to effectively use or share your profile information if you do not provide us with the requested information, if you do not want to provide us with this information, you will not be able to use our Service.

Profile suggestions and matches 

Please be aware that whilst we hope that by using Cyfateb you will successfully match a job opportunity, we cannot guarantee that your use of the Service will result in gaining employment with or any other long-term or meaningful commitment. We are not and do not act as a recruitment service or employment agency. 

As part of our Services, we will use your personal information to recommend jobs to you and make recommendations for features that may be useful to you. Keeping your profile accurate and up to date helps us to make these recommendations more accurate and relevant. 

Warranties 

We make no representations, warranties or guarantees, whether express or implied, that the content on our site, including the information on profiles, is accurate, complete or up to date. 

We do not guarantee that our site, including your profile, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our site (including your account) for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal. 

Our right to transfer this Contract 

We may transfer our rights and obligations under this Contract to another organisation. We will ensure that the transfer will not affect your rights under this Contract. 

Termination 

‍Both you and us may terminate this Contract at any time by notifying the other. On termination, you lose the right to access or use the Services. 

Governing law 

Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Contract, its subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
